In Memory of my Mother…

This project is dedicated to my mother Shirley Shung-Suazo. It was her wishes to preserve and digitize her father’s archive. Funds raised will aid in the highest quality digitization, archival storage, equipment, labor, and services we will need to accomplish this task.

The end goal is to publish the high resolution scans as a photo book, exhibition and/or a documentary film. I believe there is not only sentimental value to these images but also cultural value to a broader audience depicting the life of a Chinese immigrant family in mid-twentieth century America. These are the early stages of something very special. We would love your support to bring this archive to life.
